Here are some images that influenced my cover design and why it matches with the name of the cover
The scribbles in the image represent overwhelming overthinking and the struggle of mental illness, where thoughts become messy, heavy, and impossible to control. As the scribbles grow and surround the character, they symbolise how the mind becomes crowded and emotionally exhausted, making the person feel trapped inside their own thoughts. This connects to the concept of a coma metaphorically because, even though the person is physically present, their mind feels shut down and disconnected from reality, as if they are mentally frozen or unconscious due to the weight of their internal struggle.
how I incoperate this to my cover design
I incorporated this idea into my digi-pack cover design by using the scribble imagery as a visual representation of overthinking and mental struggle. The character’s head is replaced with tangled lines, symbolising how overwhelming thoughts take over the mind and blur identity and clarity. This connects to the concept of COMA because the figure appears physically present but mentally consumed, suggesting emotional numbness and disconnection from reality. By placing the scribble inside the title itself, I visually reinforced the theme that the mind is trapped within its own thoughts, directly linking the album name to the experience of mental paralysis.
